Love in the Light of Mystery Knowledge
Wisdom and Practice in the 21st Century
James Dyson, MD, and Glen Williamson
Saturday February 22nd 2:00-5:00pm (EDT) Live and on Zoom
What new capacities have arrived and are arriving for how human beings connect to each other, to their individual and mutual karma, to history, to the spiritual world? Relationships between individual people and between humanity and the spiritual world—in the perspectives of Anthroposophy these are not fixed, but rather are always evolving.
These themes have been topics of long-perspective conversations for anthroposophical physician James Dyson and actor and playwright Glen Williamson over the decades of their friendship. In two talks, together they will explore these themes for us, touching on momentous spiritual events, current world crises, and the last deeds of Rudolf Steiner’s life. They will also draw from Steiner’s “Mystery Dramas” and from Glen Williamson’s plays Fire in the Temple and Future Dawning.
Suggested contribution: $20
Songs of Joan of Arc
Written and preformed by by singer-songwriter, Jen Zimberg.
Friday February 28, 7:00pm EST
Presented by Anthroposophy NYC (138 W15th St, New York, NY)
Songs of Joan of Arc is an original cycle of songs by singer-songwriter, Jen Zimberg. In 2024, this work is being offered in concert for schools and other communities throughout North America, Australia and Europe.
Jen treads lightly on the earth and deeply into the life of this saint. The songs guide the audience through the inner landscape of Joan’s story, unfolding with beauty and simplicity, potent lyrics and music that move the inner life of young and old. This hour-long performance follows the journey of a young shepherdess who, led by an inner voice of guidance, walked an astounding path of destiny unencumbered by the parameters of time and place.
