A Stunt Gal’s Inner Path: Balancing Timidity and
Foolhardiness, Striving toward Courage
with Lisa Dalton
Wednesday November 6 at 7:00pm (EDT) Live at Anthroposophy NYC and on Zoom
(138 W15th St between Sixth and Seventh Avenues)
Was it destiny or stupidity that led Lisa Dalton to risk her life to entertain others, and rather than shying away, diving into risky behavior? Was it her merely klutzy dyslexia teaching her how to survive falling or was it karma and destiny working into this incarnation? Was she listening to an inner, higher guiding voice or acting out a desperate need for attention? These are among the questions stimulated for Lisa Dalton by her unusual life path.
Raised in a large family in economic insecurity, a looming fear of dying homeless drove her into endangering life and limb, seeking both materialistic and egotistical rewards. Were her glaring mistakes landmarks of ignorance or of a divine “path of error” leading ultimately to service and cultivation of the higher self—through a career in Hollywood and the entertainment profession? In this live and Zoomed presentation, Lisa will share insights and demonstrate techniques aimed at balancing the inner polarity of lack and excess.
Lisa Loving Dalton performed stunts in blockbusters such as Ghostbusters, Crocodile Dundee, Married to the Mob, Saturday Night Live, Splash, Money Pit, F/X and The Highlander along with acting in many soap operas, commercials, and live theatre.
Lisa was an original class member of Ted Pugh’s Chekhov Group and part of the first group of actors to use the Anthroposophy NYC’s auditorium in the fall of 1987, with Ted, Fern Sloan, Glen Williamson, Melania Levitsky and others. Lisa co-taught with Anthroposophist/Chekhov estate Executrix, Mala Powers for 18 years and co-founded the International and the National Michael Chekhov Associations. She specializes in mentoring teachers, and has published three books, with more on the way. www.chekhov.net.
