Arts and Movement Classes for Children Ages 4-9 Years Old
The Homeschool Enrichment Program is currently CLOSED.
Enrich your homeschool program for your child! Join us each week for four hours of activities that are rooted in the Waldorf curriculum. Each week your child will be immersed in two hours of eurythmy and two hours of the arts, including handwork, drawing, and painting.
Our Homeschool Enrichment Program had a short and joyful life. We have completed three wonderful blocks in autumn 2019 and winter 2020 (October 7-30, 2019, November 4-25, January 13 to February 12, 2020). However, life moves on and the program will not continue in its initial configuration.
But… new ideas are simmering, and perhaps a different offering may develop in the future. We’re open to inquires and suggestions, and look forward to hearing from you. Send us an email via programs (at) asnyc.org.

Your Instructors:
Kelly Beekman, Artist and MEd, trained Waldorf Teacher, will teach the children age-appropriate handwork activities, which may include sewing, knitting, felting, and crochet. In addition, she will lead watercolor painting lessons. Additional activities may include puppetry and doll making.
Marta Stemberger, MA, Eurythmist, will teach the children eurythmy, a harmonious movement activity that enlivens the sense of space and relationship with others. The children will learn both speech and tone eurythmy—moving with poetry and moving to music—following the eurythmy pedagogical curriculum for Waldorf education. This offering is highly recommended for any Waldorf-based program.
